Staff from Alert-iT and Fable at Sheffield United footbal ground. Players drawing competition winnersIt has been a pretty fast paced start to the year here at Alert-iT and it?s hard to believe that it is already February.

But despite the days running by you may remember that throughout December we ran yet another Epilepsy Awareness Campaign which aimed to inform you, whether you have epilepsy or care for someone who does, of the increased risks the season can bring.

Our useful?Christmas How-To Guide provided you with an introduction to the potential risks associated with Christmas followed by achievable solutions and actionable tips. Digging out a host of blog posts from our 2014 campaign, the team compiled even more informative pieces of information such as our guide to seizure first aid.

The Companion Mini

Just a few months ago we launched our latest product; The Companion Mini, the first digital monitor of its kind, providing support to individuals and their carers.

Possessing high performance sensors enabling the detection of associated seizure movements, an alarm is triggered via the pager. Thanks to its digital design the monitor isn?t subject to an abundance of tangled wires meaning that you are able to transport the monitor with ease should the occasion arise.

Encompassing all the design features of our original alarms, the Companion ?Mini is significantly smaller in size and can be applied in some of the most challenging situations providing support and peace of mind. Why not take a look at the ?Companion Mini in more detail?

The Competition Draw

Thanks to the support from both Fable and Young Epilepsy the response to the competition was overwhelming.

Attending Sheffield United Football Club this Saturday (6th Feb 2016) for their game against Wigan Athletic we were accompanied by Sandra Howard OLM and Sarah Osborne-Green from Fable Epilepsy Charity. With the help of Sheffield United players Keiron Wallace and Bob Harris our four winners were chosen at random. And we are thrilled to announce that the following individuals will shortly be receiving a Companion Mini.

  • Annie Smith from Wales
  • Stacy Crane from Banbury
  • Tracy Hillam from Huddersfield
  • Victoria-Anne Brain from Oxford

All winners have been notified by the Alert-iT team.
