Conceived and developed by David Godfrey, a gifted inventor and founder of Alert-iT, ‘Plesiocare’ is the unique concept behind Alert-iT alarm technology. ‘Plesio’, taken from the ancient Greek, means ‘close’ and neatly describes the way the Alert-iT products are used directly by the carer. In contrast to this, the established term ‘telecare’ where ‘tele’ indicates distance, where alarm feedback is mediated through a call centre.

While devised initially as self-contained solutions for support, Alert-iT systems are equally suited for use alongside many Nurse Call systems due to their flexibility.

Alert-iT SafeLink is a secure and reliable failsafe radio system developed for high risk medical alarm applications. Designed for your peace of mind, Alert-iT SafeLink Radio features:

• An automatic security signal sent to the pager every ten seconds warns the carer should the radio link become disconnected for any reason (e.g. the monitor has been turned off, or the pager has been transported out of range). This allows protection to be rapidly resumed.

• Optimised balanced modulation and super-hetrodyne radio technology ensures a stronger radio link that’s more resistant to interference.

• Alert-iT SafeLink also delivers a longer signal range of up to 450 metres, compared to 50-100 metres often quoted by other types of system. This provides

an excellent safety margin in domestic and professional care environments.

• SafeLink uses the 433MHz frequency to minimise potential interference with other devices, most notably medical equipment.

Alert-iT Advanced Pagers feature Failsafe radio with a range of up to 450 metres, giving carers the freedom to work wherever they’re most needed knowing that confident that all their service users are protected. High capacity rechargeable batteries ensure that the pagers can be used away from their charger for up to three days, and the pagers can also be left switched on and operating normally while they are being charged. Available in 8 channel (8 monitor) or 64 channel (capable of working with 64 monitors) versions to suit any size of professional care or domestic environment. Both pagers share intuitive four-button menu control and a highly robust design featuring biomaster coated plastic for durability with hygiene.

Designed to be mounted on a wall or left free-standing on a desk or cupboard, the Alert-iT docking station connects to the standard pager charger and gives your pagers a convenient and easily-located charging and storage point. Ideal for situating in staff offices and staff sleep-in accommodation, the docking station also features an output socket allowing the alarm signals to be relayed to a secondary device such as an Alert-iT vibrating pillow sensor or a third-party Nurse Call system.

The vibrating pillow sensor is ideal for sleep-in staff and wherever a positive yet discreet alarm notification is required. The device is placed beneath the carer’s pillow and connects directly to any radio Guardian or Companion monitor. Should an alarm occur, the carer will be woken by the buzzing of the vibrating pillow sensor while the pager can be set to silent mode to keeping night-time disruption to a minimum for other residents. When connected to the Pager Docking Station, the Pillow Sensor is often used in place of the pager’s audible alarms.

Alert-iT repeaters are a simple and highly effective answer wherever you need to extend the reach and strength of your radio alarm signals. Installation is simplicity itself as the unit is simply plugged in to any convenient mains socket close to the signal’s weakest point. No programming is required, and the repeater will work as soon as the power is switched on. Any number of repeaters can be used together, potentially extending your system’s radio range to suit any size site or building complex.

Matilda (short for ‘My Alert-iT Data) is a reliable and highly secure cloud-based platform that provides you with an instant online view of all alarm activity from your site’s radio-equipped Alert-iT monitors.

Matilda’s information is laid out laid out in the form of a user-friendly table for fast and easy reference. The data table can be viewed on any web-connected device including computers, tablets and smartphones, meaning that you can enjoy instant access to your site’s alarm history no matter whether you’re in the office, at home or on the move. The system updates every ten minutes to ensure the most current and accurate details. Matilda will provide you with key data including details of which monitor has been activated, the date and ‘up-to-the-second’ time a particular alarm occurred and was cleared, the call reason and location. This vital information can then help you identify alarm trends which can then be used to assess the user’s particular condition and optimise the monitor’s settings as well as help you keep track of response times and manage your site’s KPI’s

Used in conjunction with Matilda, Ip-iT monitors the alarm activities of your site’s Alert-iT radio alarms. Data records can be passed live to Matilda via an internet connection via an Ethernet port on your router.

All alarms are detected through a built-in receiver module, the Ip-iT then identifies the start and clear time of each event. Data is then logged together with time and date stamps.
