The Sense-iT range can help to indicate whether a person is at risk from a fall. Our sensors can detect whether someone is in bed, out of bed or needs assistance with movement around the home. Users who may be especially at risk of falling – e.g. the elderly or stroke rehabilitation patients (to name just two scenarios) – benefit greatly from using the products in our Sense-iT range due to the following unique features:
- Bed and chair occupancy sensor
- Bed and seat vacator alarm
- Sensors set for times of immediate or prolonged vacation
- Detects a user falling and lying unconscious
- Radio call button for assistance
- Motion detectors
Alert-iT’s robust and reliable products provide high-level monitoring without the need for intrusive 24-hour care presence, increasing user confidence and safety-awareness. Alarms are transmitted through a failsafe radio link to an Advanced Radio Pager or to an existing telephone dialler system for those living alone. Wired versions for connection to Nurse Call or Care-lines are also available. Sense-iT monitoring systems are easy to install, simple, secure to operate and can be designed to specific caring needs. Our vision at Alert-iT is to provide the best care solution for managing falls. This care solution can be delivered via two methods; either through individual products or an integrated falls reduction program.
Falls Reduction Programme
The Alert-iT Falls Reduction Programme has been developed around two product ranges – SenseAlert and SenseAlert+. SenseAlert is an audible alarm which is supplied as a solution that includes all you need to monitor a single patient’s bed and chair for vacation.
SenseAlert+ is a Falls Reduction Programme designed by Alert-iT to help professional carers mitigate the risk of falls across multiple medical care environments. We have created an infrastructure that supports PlesioCare (carer-user relationship) that provides technology, education, support and commitment).
The Alert-iT Falls Reduction Programme can be easily adapted to suit specific needs for a fixed price which will include:
- A selection of the most appropriate monitors from our range
- Provision of installation and training
- Monthly visits to maintain the culture change and ensure effective implementation
- Data Management
- Management of reports
The process for the Falls Reduction Programme contains seven steps. This includes one year of committed support from initial assessment to installation, training and implementation.
The program is under-pinned by using our unique ‘Ip-iT data logger’ to monitor all alarm activity and establish the effectiveness of our solution and support to you.
Sense-iT Range: MONITORS

P163 Bed Alarm
Alert-iT more cost sensitive Bed Alarm is used to support a Person while in bed, alarming if they leave the bed.
The Bed Alarm uses sensors from the Sense-iT range, which can be located on or under the mattress.
With the dual input, this monitor can be used on a large bed requiring two sensors.
The Bed alarm also has an easy to press call button located the front, so a Person can call for assistance with out having to leave the bed.
The caregiver is notified of an event via the Alert-iT failsafe pager or an existing Nurse Call system. If the user doesn’t return back to bed the alarm has to be cancelled on the P163, assuring that a caregiver has to respond.
Please note, when used with a wired Nurse call system, one of the inputs is used as an output removing the dual input operation.
P135AB
The P135AB is a wearable device that Alarms an Alert-iT pager if it sensors the user may have fallen. Can be worn around the neck, as a broach or on a belt clip. The automatic fall detection braclet comes with a one-year battery (supplied with spare battery). The fall detector provides an alarm for staff to help the elderly or patients who struggle to walk.
